Re: Copyright Concerns

It is acceptable fair use to reproduce an image without permission for the following purposes:

  • to share the reproduction with a limited number of friends and acquaintances
  • for personal study, including to gain skill in the use of tools and techniques for reproduction.

In presenting the images below, I have adhered to my best understanding of these guidelines. My original purpose in preparing this site was to gain skill in organizing information for use in a web site and in manipulating the information and elements of the site using HTML. I have refrained from "advertising" this site with searach engines and from including "meta-informatin" in the opening tags for search engine robots to access. To the best of my knowledge, noone is looking this site except for those to whom I have personally given its address.

However, like many projects, this one has gained momentum. I like my site, as I hope you do, though I see many blemishes and areas I hope to improve or expand. It is my hope to obtain permissions to use the following images in a publicized web site soon.

Friends and colleagues are certainly welcome to reproduce and use my own work, including the text and the images used in the navigator bar and headers of pages. Naturally, I cannot offer permission to use another person's work.
